Set up, create a dataset, and start exploring your data in just a few steps.

Setting Up
To get started with Visual Layer:
Visit the
Login page
Sign in with your Google or GitHub account.
Access the
Dataset Inventory
— the homepage where your datasets live.
Browse public datasets or create your own.
Creating a Dataset
Click “New Dataset” on the
Dataset Inventory
page.
Give your dataset a name - or keep the suggested one.
Upload your images or videos. You can also upload
annotations
at this stage (optional).
Visual Layer will begin indexing your data. You’ll receive an email once it’s ready to explore.

Once your dataset is ready to explore:
Click your dataset card to open the
Dataset Exploration View
.
Begin filtering, searching, tagging, and identifying key patterns using Visual Layer’s built-in tools.
Try visual and text-based search, inspect
clusters
, and identify potential issues like
mislabels
,
duplicates
, or
outliers
.
